First Day of Fall in Chico: A New Season for Home

Fall officially arrives tomorrow, and in Chico, that means one of the best times of the year is just getting started.

The mornings get a little cooler. The leaves begin changing across town. Saturday errands somehow turn into a stop for coffee, a walk through Bidwell Park, or a trip out to grab pumpkins. And after months of Chico heat, opening the windows in the evening finally sounds like a good idea again.

Fall also has a way of making us appreciate home a little more.

It’s the season when patios turn into places for dinner again, fireplaces start getting used, kitchens get busier, and neighborhoods seem to come alive as Halloween decorations and porch lights start appearing.
